Richard Hyde is a fine artist/Illustrator/photographer/professor. His work has been exhibited widely since 1973. He has won various awards and honors and his work is in several private collections. His fine art consists of graphite and carbon pencil drawings, serigraphs, lithographs, watercolors and photographs. Richard started with film during his undergraduate days, having switched to digital in recent years. His current focus is fine art photography. While much of his work is made up of assemblages of elements from his large catalog of images from his travels and experiences, many of his pieces deal with his intuitive approach to visualization. Richard holds an M.F.A. from Northern Illinois University and has studied with Win Jones, David Driesbach, Robert Bornhuetter and Robert Nelson. Richard is now professor emeritus, having taught at Northern Illinois University and The Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago.
Richard is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers, American Photographic Artists. NAPP and Siggraph. Clients include: General Electric Co., Thermos Inc., Arachnid Corp., and Rexroth Marine.
